Jason Garth Hoffman, 38, of Walnut Lane, Camp Hill, was arrested following an investigation into a theft of a business in the 600 block of Old York Road in Etters on April 1, 2021 at 10:45 a.m., according to the police.
Hoffman is accused of stealing $19,000 between Sept. 17 and 27 of 2020 by not depositing cash into his employer's bank account, which is a task he was assigned to as part of his daily job duties, police say.
Hoffman admitted to using the daily deposit money to pay for bills, housing and regular expenses, according to authorities, according to police.
The charge was first filed in July, and Hoffman posted bond on $10,000 bail at an arraignment in August, according to court documents.
He waived his preliminary hearing in September, according to his court dockets.
Hoffman pleaded not guilty by waiving his formal arraignment on Oct. 15, according to an updated court docket.
If he is found guilty, Hoffman would face up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine, based on Pennsylvania law.
